This Privacy Policy explains how ProBono collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the ProBono mobile application and related pages.

ProBono is designed to keep user information minimal. Based on the current app setup, core pledge and donation-record information is intended to be stored locally on the user’s device unless otherwise stated in a future version of the product.

1. Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, ProBono may collect or store the following information:

Your name or profile details if you choose to enter them
Your pledge information, including selected times, hourly rate, charity selections, and donation records
App preferences and notification settings
Basic diagnostic or crash information made available by the device or app platform

2. How we use information

We use information to:

Operate the app and display your pledge history, reminders, and summaries
Schedule local notifications related to your selected giving hour
Improve app reliability, performance, and future features
Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations

3. Notifications

If you allow notifications, ProBono may send reminders before, during, and after your scheduled giving hour. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings at any time.

4. Donations and external services

ProBono does not process charitable donations directly inside the app. When you choose to donate, you may be taken to a third-party website or provider. Those services have their own privacy policies, terms, and security practices.

5. Data storage

Current versions of ProBono may store core user data locally on your device. If future versions introduce cloud storage, account sync, analytics, or additional integrations, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect those changes.

6. Data sharing

Mai Software does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only where reasonably necessary to provide app functionality, comply with the law, protect legal rights, or operate essential service infrastructure.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information handled by the app. However, no device, service, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Children’s privacy

ProBono is not intended for young children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

9. Your choices

You can review, edit, or remove information stored in the app by changing or deleting entries within the app itself, or by removing the app from your device where applicable.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date below.
