This policy explains how the MaiCaddy iOS app ("MaiCaddy," "the app," "we") handles your information. MaiCaddy is made by Mai Software. It applies to your use of the app itself.

02What MaiCaddy stores — and where

Everything you add to MaiCaddy is stored locally on your iPhone and nowhere else. That includes:

• Your clubs and gear — names, brands, models, categories, and bag labels.
• Photos you take or choose for an item.
• Purchase dates, values you enter, and maintenance history.
• Your play/practice habits used to estimate wear, and your app settings.

This data lives in the app's private storage on your device. We have no ability to access it. The only thing that can ever leave — and only if you tap to send it — is a headline bag value you share to your own Maicasa account (see section 04).

03What we collect and send off your device

By default, nothing. MaiCaddy has no analytics, no advertising or tracking SDKs, and we never sell your information. The one thing that can leave your device — and only when you choose it — is the opt-in Maicasa share described in the next section: tapping it sends your bag's item count, total value, and the email of your Maicasa account so the value can be matched to your account. Nothing else is ever sent.

04Sharing with Maicasa — your choice

MaiCaddy can add your bag's value to Maicasa, our home-inventory app, so it counts toward your contents total for insurance. This is entirely opt-in and happens only when you tap "Share value with Maicasa."

When you tap it, we send your bag's item count and total value — never your item list or photos — to your Maicasa account, after you verify ownership with a one-time 8-digit code emailed to you by Maicasa. Nothing syncs in the background; each share is a dated snapshot, and sharing again replaces the last one.

The email address you enter is kept on your device only, to prefill the next share. The shared value is stored with your Maicasa account (in Australia) and is covered by Maicasa's privacy policy. To remove a shared value, delete your Maicasa account or contact us at support@maisoftware.app.

05Device features MaiCaddy uses

MaiCaddy asks your permission before using certain iOS features. In each case the data stays on your device:

• Photos — when you attach an image to an item. The photo is saved inside the app; it is not uploaded anywhere.
• Notifications — reminders for maintenance that's due are scheduled and delivered locally on your device.
• Calendar — optional. If you schedule a service and grant access, MaiCaddy writes that single event to your calendar. It does not read your calendar or send it anywhere.
• Maps ("Find a pro") — tapping this opens your Maps app with a search such as "golf regripping near me." MaiCaddy does not track or store your location; your Maps app handles the search under its own privacy policy.
• Health data — not active in the current version. If a future version offers it, it would read only the date and duration of golf workouts, on your device, to refine wear estimates — and only with your permission.

06Backups you control

MaiCaddy lets you export a backup file and restore from one. You choose where that file goes (for example, the Files app or iCloud Drive) and it is only shared if you share it. If your device's system backup (iCloud or a computer) includes app data, that backup is governed by Apple's terms, not ours.

07Third parties

No third party receives your MaiCaddy data. Maicasa is our own app, not a third party, so the value you choose to share to it (section 04) stays within Mai Software. When you choose to open Maps, that app is provided by Apple or Google and processes your request under its own privacy policy. The App Store and any device backup you enable are Apple services governed by Apple's terms.

08Keeping and deleting your data

Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it. You can remove items in the app at any time, and deleting the app removes all of its stored data from your device. We hold no copy to delete on our end. If you have shared a bag value to Maicasa (section 04), that snapshot lives with your Maicasa account; remove it by deleting your Maicasa account or contacting support.

09Children's privacy

MaiCaddy is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

10Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before the corresponding app update ships.
