01 · Entries & crews
Take entries, manage crews
Clubs enter events, crews are built and seated, and late entries, substitutions and scratchings are handled without a paper scramble.
A web app from Mai Software · for rowing
Regatta HQ is a modern regatta manager for rowing clubs and associations. Entries, the programme, the draw, results and live results — the whole day in one place, from the first crew list to the moment a race is made official.
What it does
Built to replace legacy regatta software, keep-for-keep, and then move past it. A single source of truth from the association down to the individual lane — entries and crews, the event programme, the lane draw, times, places and margins, and a live view for everyone on the bank.
01 · Entries & crews
Clubs enter events, crews are built and seated, and late entries, substitutions and scratchings are handled without a paper scramble.
02 · Programme & draw
Compose the event programme, then run a lane draw. Heats, reps and progressions are built into the schema, ready as the day grows.
03 · Results & live
Enter times, compute places and margins, and make a race official — while a realtime live view updates for spectators as it happens.
Regatta HQ is a web application — nothing to install. When it's ready it opens in your browser at this address, on the phone in your pocket by the finish line or the laptop in the tower.
We're putting the finishing touches on the v1 foundation. The window beside this is where Regatta HQ will load once it goes live.
Preview — example race, not live data
Under the hood
A Next.js web app with a Supabase back end — a full domain model from associations and clubs down to races and lanes, with realtime results and role-based access. Reserved boundaries are already in place for a rules-as-data pointscore engine and for timing hardware and photo-finish, so they can plug in without a rewrite. Historical legacy-system IDs are preserved end-to-end, so past data and links survive the move.
Realtime
Results and races publish over realtime subscriptions — the seed of a spectator view that anyone can follow from their phone.
Migration
Legacy system references are kept on athletes and regattas, so a season of records imports cleanly rather than starting from zero.
Extensible
Heats and progressions, pointscore and timing integration are designed as additive follow-ups — the app is complete without them and better with them.
